"guy's i have the same rpm problem that get's better every trip to the river.last trip i got 2800 at wop,today i got 3600 at 3/4 throttle and when i gave it wot it bogged down until i came back to 3600.carb was rebuilt 1-year ago.this spring every thing new.ign coil,sensor,wires,plugs,headers,risers,shutters.i also treated fuel with sea foam,fuel filters are new.new fuel pump.350 ,1987,260 h.p.4bbl quadrajet.also,i get a raw fuel smell at times.what do i do next.thank's."
 
Pull the points plate off and

Pull the points plate off and see if the weights move freely. Make sure it's clean and lubed with light oil like WD-40. What kind of dizzy do you have? Delco?
