"Greetings All,
Picked up at

"Greetings All,
Picked up at 19 1/2 Bayliner with a 125 Force outboard motor and I have a question: When I try to run the motor at WOT, it sounds like the motor is bogged down, speed is roughly 8-10 MPH as well. Looking for some guidance/recommendations on how to fix problem. New plugs, checked fuel filter. Also, the fuel bulb is not fully hard when running at WOT. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks"

"Try squeezing the priming bul

"Try squeezing the priming bulb while at WOT. If the speed picks up, replace the bulb and possibly the fuel line. Had a similar problem. Might want to check the pick up tube in the fuel tank. Some have an inline filter which could plug and with the new gasoline mixture,{10%
ethanol} old fuel lines break down and plug the bulb."

Thanks for advice, but already replaced bulb and fuel line and squeezed bulb while driving in full throttle and seems to get momentary
speed. Also, acts like it is flooding out motor. Wet plugs.

Hey Jerry,
Fuel pump diaphram was replaced and still have same issue. Next thing to try is thermostat. After running boat, block is warm to the touch (prox. 110 degrees). What should block temp. be if thermostat is working properly ?
