Need help still having touble draining all the oil out on 1987 454 mercruiser

what can be stopping that litt

what can be stopping that little plastic tube from going all the way in to the oil pan. It gets stuck at in entrance of the pan and a little hard to pull back after it is stuck. what can it be hitting? does anyone know. I twist and turn the tube but still won't go in. I can only get 4.5 qts out and it holds about 7 is what the book says please help

Are you sure the pan was full to begin with?

If the tube is curled up, it may be hitting the oil pump. Try a little heat on the tube, and bend an arc in it. When you insert the tube, have the arc aiming downward."
 
I did check it and it reads fu

I did check it and it reads full. Its only goes as far as the oil pan. I am hitting something
