305 mercruiser stalls after sitting in cove for hour

I have a chaparral SSE 200 305

I have a chaparral SSE 200 305 mercruiser it is carb. Runs great till shut down in cove(any were from 15min.-1:30 hour)fires up after the boat plans 15-30 sec.motor dies restart runs great.I have changed water seperator & rebuilt carb. no help..
 
Adjust your choke a bit more r

Adjust your choke a bit more rich by rotating the black plastic cap one or two lines. Try that.

Are you 100% sure the float level and float drop were set correctly? Needle and seat replaced? or just gaskets and filter? Who rebiult it?
 
Replace the base gasket of the

Replace the base gasket of the carb w/a thicker one. Improves fuel atomization and insulates it from engine heat.
