"Were these only for fresh water use? Just new to owning a merc and have a manual coming. On fresh water cooled motors does merc use fresh water to cool their manifolds, or is raw water. My Chrysler 6 cyl is FWC and the heat exchangers discharge directly into the riser. There is a gasket restricting any raw water entering the manifold. The boat is about 60 miles away, so not that easy to inspect. Thanks."
