"Hi all, here some data from a new owner of twin 550hp DD 6V92TTA on a Ferretti 52". Engines have been seasonally checked, fuel filters, engine oil and transmission oil completely changed, intercoolers washed with acid solution as they have been let two years in a yard, and they probably have lowered cooling efficiency. I ran the boat at 1950 rpm, 19.5 knts, 180/185 stable degrees: if I push them to full throttle, I get 2180 rpm, one engine rise to 190, the other to 200 and it smokes black, seems not to be able to burn the whole amount of fuel, but flaps don't work, so I cannot check if by changing the balance I could get more rpm. On cruising speed, the coolest engine blows steam (15feet long, then it immediatly desappears) at every rpm and always. Does anything sound bad? thank you guys and come to Italy!"
