"My 1988 DT 150SS goes into sa

"My 1988 DT 150SS goes into safe mode at about 3500 rpm's, but only on the lake. It will rev up all day long in the shop with no load on it. I have disconnected the water sensors, the oil level sensor, the and the oil flow sensor. My mechanic is about out of bullets on this one. Any help would be appreciated."
 
I know this wont help you but

I know this wont help you but maybe you can help me? How did you disconnect the sensors on your motor? I have no spark and I think a sensor may have triped. The only thing I thought of trying is to olm it out and I got tone on my multimeter is that right. Sorry I cant help you but it sounds like you can help me.
 
There is one water sensor on e

There is one water sensor on each side of the motor. Take the black cover off the back and unscrew the wires from the sensors. The oil level sensor has 2 wires coming off the float in the tank. Just disconnect them. The oil flow sensor wires are under the oil tank. Just disconnect them as well.
