"Does anyone know what accessory parts are different for a reverse rotation engine? Is the alternator, fuel pump, and raw water pump specific, or are there easy changes that can be made to make them function on either engine?"
 
Just ordered an alternator for

Just ordered an alternator for a 1979 Chrysler 318 and they told me that the only difference is the cooling fan on the alternator and that they can build it with a bi-directional fan. This way it can go on either engine.

"Do the bi-directional fans look substantially different as both my alternators look the same. And as for the mechanical fuel pumps, and the raw water pumps...any ideas? Thanks"

"The bi-directional alternator blades have no "pitch" to them.

Mechanical fuel pumps could care less, as is the circulating pumps, but those raw water pumps care VERY much which way they are turning! They can be installed two ways to work properly in either direction (if the mechanic is paying attention. Ah-hem!)
