"I recently have noticed a loss of "get up and go" when accelerating. Once I finally get on plane, I go just as fast as always, but it seems to be taking longer to get there. In a possibly related note, there have been a couple instances when the engine just doesn't want to start. It smells flooded, but acts like it isn't getting gas. Fortunately, both times this has happened it eventually will start. Any theories as to what the problem may be?"
