"can anybody tell me the purpose of the set screw on the front of the tilloston carb, and the aproximate right setting?

Also need to know how to adjust to wide open throttle -- when the shifter is at full, the throtle plate is not wide open."

Its 1 turn out from lightly seated on all carbs.then run in gear set idle speed.carbs and linkage most operate simultaneously.butterfly opens almost all the way at full throttle.

Can someone help me with this issue, I got 70 hp model 707HF, I had to replace the starter, then the Solenoid stuck so I went to auto zone got a 12 vol solenoid,nothing happen,tried 2 more and nothing, then I got a 6 volt one and it started..but it will stick open and I have to tap it to make it stop running starter.. what am I doing wrong?? Thanks
 
Welcome, you shouldn't tag on another's post.
The solenoid, you get the ground wired right?
Not all solenoids work the same.
12v into a 6v will eventually cook it.
Sounds like it's already cooking.

Thanks, sorry I didn't understand that I tagged another post. I not sure about the ground wire, the Solenoid had one post to battery, one post to starter and one small post to top, how does it ground?
