"I have a GMC 8v92 eingine ins

"I have a GMC 8v92 eingine installed in a seiner with approx 2500 hrs. on it. The engine has recently developed a problem whereby it stalls when the throttle is retarded to idle (approx idle is 600rpm). The stall can be prevented by very slowly retarding the throttle to idle, too slow to be practical. Microcommander controls are installed. I have changed fuel filters and cleaned the Airsep filter with no affect on the problem. Any ideas before hiring a mechanic to troubleshoot?"
 
well it sounds like there may

well it sounds like there may be a injector sticking look for high fuel pressure make sure return to tank is open if so then take a pressure gauge and install it in the secondary fuel filter head and check fuel pressure if pressure is 20 psi idle and around 60 psi when engine is high idled then all is well there. then you might remove control from gov arm and see if engine has a false idle. if so reset idle if not check buffer screw
