"I have a 65hp spirit and the wood dift key keeps sheering off almost every time i turn the motor over,can anyone give me a idea why this is happening? I made sure the key was the correct size and widthe but still does it."

"The taper on the crankshaft holds the flywheel in place, the woodfuff key only locates it. You may have to lap the flywheel in with grinding paste. When you get a uniform surface on both faces, clean them well with a damp rag, then spray with brake-clean to remove any oil. Fit the key and flywheel then tighten the nut to the correct torque setting. Hope this helps."

Thanks alot Peter I cleaned off where it tappers at and made sure the nut sucked all the way down and its holding up so far. But now i think i need to get a water pump for it i dont see no water coming out the jet.
