"I have a 1980 16' Alumacraft That I put in a console steering, front casting deck, rear casting deck. Currently I have a 1996 25hp evinrude. with 1 or 2 people it gets up on plane ok. tops out about 20/21 mph. When we go on a week long camping trip we are packed to the gills and top out about 7 mph. Looking for input for a good all around prop for good power as well as decent top end? I am going to go with a 30hp Tohatsu.

"WAG would be a 12 pitch....Maybe an 11, but I would start with a 12. I would stow the gear as far forward as possible to start off with. Figure 29 to 31 with a light load...Probably 16 to 18 fully loaded. Let me know how far off my guess is when you get it
