No idea what your working on but did you go from points to electronic? It sounds like your ESA might not be working anymore.

cobra outdrive no dist. when Igot the boat we rebuilt the engine and put accel hei back in if this will help.

"Need you to find and post the model # off the engine as OMC didn't put out the 5.7 in 93, you could have a 92 power package in there, the mod # should look something like this "574APEAMH". Need you to check for the ESA module and interrupt switch. The link below is a wiring diagram, see the ESA module at the top of the diagram, this should be mounted on top of the engine near the shift asm which is where the switch should be too. Maybe this has been removed from the engine as well?
