"I've been looking for an 8V53 (e-Bay, engine shops, wrecking yards, etc.) for six or eight months. No joy. Anyone have any ideas/leads?

I'm a drag racer (Chrysler hemi's), but I've had a real interest in diesel power for quite a few years. I have a 6V53, a Cummins 500 cid V8, and a couple of John Deeres (4045, 4039). I swapped the 4039 into my 1959 Ford F100, and it turned out to be a good conversion. I had "pickup truck plans" for the 6V53 and Cummins, but have shelved these in favor of an 8V53.

Thanks in advance for any insights/leads/criticisms/thoughts/ideas. lol
