Begining to question there use

Begining to question there use in warm water? water temp in fla 80 cold start not needed originally designed to warm up engine.traps debris in system in block while engine overheats. This is a major problem in marine industry. Outboards basicly dont need a thermostat/radiator .anything that restricts flow of water to engine cant be good .

If you run outboards up where

If you run outboards up where I'm located without a t-stat you will fill the crank with unburned fuel and carbon up the rings. Both are not good scenerio's for engine life. Water temp here is 47F at the moment.
