I am looking at buying

I am looking at buying a different motor to put on this boat. Right now it has a 50hp Force and I found a excellent deal on a 1973 Mercury Thunderbolt 800 80HP motor with all controls but I want to make sure that this motor is not to big for the boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your boat should have a max hp

Your boat should have a max hp and weight rating plaque or sticker on it.
Also check that your transom height is acceptable for the old motor.
