DF140 trim stops 34 up

"I have a DF140 05. The trim

"I have a DF140 05. The trim will go up about 3/4 the way up then stop cold, no noise no motor , no click. This happens after the 2 pistons have unloaded and the main piston is engaged. 2 people have suggested that there may be a limit switch. I can not find 1 or know what it may look like. Any help."

Had the same problem on one of my twins. The switch is located under the engine on the pivot tube (where the engine pivots in it's up/down movements). It is a round black "switch" that surrounds the tube in it's center. You should be able to rotate the "switch" to disengage it.
