"Well, the good news is that there was not a hoie in the tank, it was in the gas fill line. about an 8 inch section that was nothing but AIR! So when I fill my boat up with gas, I really filled my boat up with gas!
The 7ft hose was under the floor,(what idiot designed that) had to cut a small hole to be able to get the hose off of the tank. Then pulled it out with a pull string attached so i can fish the new one. it looked like it just rubbed a hole in it. A big hole!
all is good now. well, with that problem"

"I had the same problem, but worse. The pipe they used to construct the boat was soft plumbers copper. It had flexed so much, rubbing against the corner of the deckboard ; that it broke right almost in two. Every time the boat leant to port, it would throw a little gas in the bilge. I installed rubber when I gutted it."
