can you use both a 1.91:1 and
can you use both a 1.91:1 and a 2.1:1 with twin engines that rotate in the same direction so that you still have counter rotating props.
I am repowering and going from counter rotating engines with direct dirve transmissions to standard rotation engines with siminalr hp and torque. i do not want to have to do extensive engine rebedding. I would like to use one 1.91:1 (since that is direct drive opposite rotation) and one 2.1:1 since that rotates the same as the engine. Will there be a noticible performance difference.
some marine gear sales say "no way" buy two new transmissions and spend 3-5K and some say "way" and buy one used/rebuilt 2.1:1 for around 1k and you may not notice the difference.
