I am planning on purchasing a '87 Donzi with a 350 in it that needs "replacing". I am not that knowledgeable regarding marine engine applications but have automotive experence.

I would like some guidence on where to find out information on this type of engine and boat installation.

Any guidence would be helpfull.

" WHY it needs Replacing will determine which way you want to go..cracked block ?? get a junkyard 350cid. do the usual clean up, machine work,etc.. then install All your internals...the only difference in the long block configiration is the cam(marine or "truck" cam), brass freeze plugs,+ better valves.... depending on which 350 you have now, it could be a forged crank, but you really don't "Need" it til you start spinning over 5000rpm...or so i've found.......
