"My neighbor has a 2001 80 fourstroke (maybe 90). Anyways it has a bad miss and lacks power,at speeds above 1700rpm.
So far he has replace plugs & wires.
Changed ecm ??? i think thats what it is called.
Carbs checked out fine and properly tuned.
I think it is the coil for plugs 3 and 4. The #4 plug is always darker and shows soot.
Has anyone gone through a simular issue on these motors.
