"1988 4.3L cobra. ~450hours on the motor, recently replaced plugs, fuel filter, upgraded to pertronix electronic ignition, new oil & filter...
When the engine is cold, it fires right up. However, sometimes when I'm out on the water running around, and then kill the engine it's hard to restart. It cranks and cranks, but nothing. I have to put the throttle to full and crank it for ~10 seconds (or more) to even get it to fire. After it starts to fire, it starts up and is fine.
Any ideas what would cause this?"
