I am going to change out the o

I am going to change out the old green anti freeze in my closed loop cooling given I do not know how old it is. Can I / should I replace with the new orange Virgin propylene glycol blend that I see other using. I also heard it will not turn coorosive like the green stuff does after time. Any concerns about changing or mixing products? This is a 88 350 merc cruiser I/O.

"I would save yourself some money and just keep fresh green coolent in your heat exchanger. If this was a brand new boat/car, or aluminum block/head set up... my answer might be different. Given the vintage... save the money and just keep fresh coolent, engine oil and drive oil in it. 50:50 mix antifreez/distilled water ratio, btw."
