Does anyone on the board have

Does anyone on the board have experience with these older 6 cylinder engines? I'm thinking about using a pair in a Bertram 25. I understand they don't produce alot of top end HP but they do produce lots of mid-range torque at cruising RPM and are reasonably fuel efficient as well.

Thanks in advance.

"Are you talking inline or v-6

"Are you talking inline or v-6? I personally am not to fond of the v-6 in a marine application. They are OK at best in a small boat, I would not put one in a large boat. I have found them to be problematic at best. Great in a car or truck that spends most of it time at 18-2200 rpm."

"I have a pair of crusader 292

"I have a pair of crusader 292s in a '25 seavee.
They are strong, good on fuel and I have a top end of 38mph.They would work fine for that boat too,you just need to find the parts for them.
I need a Crusader THERMOSTAT HOUSING assembly, for one of mine.
If you or anybody else know where I could get one,I'd like to hear from you.
Good Luck.}"
