"Anyone know the settings for the auto choke spring tension for the non electric auto choke on the 4BBL weber carb. I have the settings for the pull off pot, but no specs for tension to pull the choke on when cold."

Chris: your trying to resurre

Chris: your trying to resurrect a dinosaur. Replace it with an electric choke. Very simple and inexpensive procedure. You need an ignition switched 12 volt source and a ground wire. Get a cover plate for the intake or make one for it.

"Agreed, but if you want to retain what you have, the rod needs to be bent so the choke blade just barely closes when cold. There should be virtually no spring tension on the choke as you stab at it with your finger, but it needs to close fuly all the same.
