Everything is turning in there

Everything is turning in there there is no " clutch " you simply must engage it quickly. Have your dealer talk you thru the operation of the motor.

"I whacked a rock while in gea

"I whacked a rock while in gear with my 35 hp Honda. There was minor prop damage. When I tested the engine out of the water it would shift just fine. After the next couple of hours of use, it now will not shift from forward into neutral or reverse. Had to rope start it to get home. Any ideas WHAT might have been damaged? Is the $1500 "guesstimate" from my local shade tree outboard mechanic anything close to realistic?"
