94 Mercruiser power steering problem

"I have a 1994 Mercruiser 5.0

"I have a 1994 Mercruiser 5.0 that has no power steering assist in either direction. The fluid is full, the belt is tight, and there are no leaks. I can turn the drive manually without any binding. It would appear either the actuator or pump are bad, but short of sourcing some pressure gauges, I don't know how to isolate which component is bad. Thanks in advance for any help."

"This is kind of a backwords and messy way to check it out, but loosen the pressure line while its running and see if oil is squirtung out. I would where some safety glasses and old clothes, but it might help you see if you have any preesure. Good luck."
 
i have a 84 searay seville wit

i have a 84 searay seville with a mercruiser 140.i want to swap engines i whould like to put a 4.3 in it is this possable what would i have to change? any info will help
