"i have a 1983 century resorter with a crusader 270 rh engine. i have noticed WOT is above 5000 rpms is this too high ?? also lately at idle the oil pressure will drop to almost zero but pick back up as soon as i increase the rpms, is this a problem ??"
 
"Yes and yes. Repitch the pro

"Yes and yes. Repitch the prop at least 2 inches, or get another one with more pitch on it. And put some oil additive (like Lucas--my favorite). That will keep the bearings alive when oil pressure is temporarily lost
