I want to change my old Volvo Penta MD2B-Engine, because it has now 35 years. Which is the engine that is easy to install instead of my old one. I don't want to make to much changes ?! Who can give me some advises ? Please help !"

Sorry, don't know too much about what engine would be an easily installed replacement. However, I would be interested in several parts off the MD2 if you are willing to part it out at all. Let me know.

I had a 20+y

I had a 20+yo MD2B in my sailboat that I replaced with an Volvo MD2030. The engine mount pattern was almost identical, the service ports are on the same side as the MD2B, and the overall engine size was smaller or the same in every dimension. The new engine is much, much quieter and much lighter. My boats performance has been markedly improved.
