"HELLO, I RECENTLY WAS GIVEN A 1976 CENTURY BOAT WITH A OMC 190. I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE IS A 302 BUT WHEN I TOOK IT APART IT HAD 351 STAMPED ON THE HEADS. DO I HAVE A 351 THEN? I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IT COULD STILL BE A 302 W/ 351 HEADS?? SOME INSIGHT WOULD BE HELPFUL....THANKS"

"Are the heads still on the motor? If not, measure the cylinder diameter and the stroke. Do the calc for volume of a cylinder (2PixR)xH and multiply by 8 to get the displacement. I'm not sure there was more difference than just deck height between the 302 and 351, same with a GM 327 and 350."

"T.B. i would say that your motor is a 302, I have a 90 model 190 hp motor and i know it to be a 302. Sorry about that, check out my post about stroker motor."
