"I am in need of a complete lower end for a 1998 35hp Johnson. Also, I am looking for any help to know what other hp's and years are compatible with this engine.

"Go to www.evinrude.com, click on Engine Diagrams. Use the year/hp navigator to find your motor and record the gearcase part number from the gearcase breakdown.

Then, used the Advanced Search function to find all motors using the same gearcase. Note that having the same gearcase casting is not necessarily compatibility -- you need to look at critical parts such as driveshaft and gears."
