"I recently installed a 2nd hand electronic ignition on my 74 90HP Chrysler, replacing the old CD unit. I also changed the distirbitor that came with it. The electronic unit had 3 wires, red, white and blue. I assumed the white wire is for the tacho like the old unit, but the tacho is dead. The boat runs fine. Do I need to change the tacho for one suitable for electronic ignition? If so, what should I ask for and where would I find one?

Thanks dave. The part is a CDI 115-3301. Unfortunatley I got his from a wreck on ebay I bought for parts. All info I can find on net suggest no active tacho circuit. So I was wondering if there is a generic after market tacho setup avaiable for outboards.
