"that is what is called a Thru

"that is what is called a Thrust Washer and is used depending on drive and/or prop.

There is one just above the prop commonly called a trim anode, some are flat some have a fin to help with steering effort counter-acting torque from the prop and engine hp/torque.

Then just above and in front of that is an anode that goes through from on side of the drive to the other, and on the leading edge of the drive cavitation plate, sometimes on the trim cylinders. there are 2 small about 1" dia dome peices on either side of the gibmal housing and I think the peice where the trim hydraulic lines go in that is/may also be an anode."
