"I need some help trouble shoo

"I need some help trouble shooting. I have a Nissan 3.5A circa 1993 (or so I was told). It ran great two days in a row then wouldn't start the third day. Carb is new, spark plug is new. The coil wire to the plug is getting cracked and the coil itself has a slight crack in the molded siding. It does not seem to be getting any spark. Where do I start to run down the problem?
