How to remove power tilt cylinders on a king Cobra

"Greetings,On an OMC sterndrive King Cobra, what's the best way to remove the power tilt cylinders so I can take the stern drive off the transom. I removed the nuts, gently banged one side off using a block of wood and hammer, but the 2nd cylinder don't seem to pull away from the pivit shaft that holds it on. What's the method?? I've done it on outboards and it was very easy, but I don't know why a stern drive is so difficult."
 
"You need to remove that shaft

"You need to remove that shaft, you can bang it gently with a wood or rubber mallet to drive it out 1 side or the other. Try to catch any of the spacers or bushings that may fall out as well and then just slowly let the trim cylinders hang."
