"Hello, I am in the process of rebuilding my upper unit. I have purchased a rebuild kit from GLM. My question is can I reuse the bearing races assuming they are in good shape? I read from someplace else that one should not mix and match bearings and races. Opinions?"
 
That is so risky. Use the new

That is so risky. Use the new bearing and cup for long life. The cups are easy to change out. Make sure the shimming and bearing preload is correct.
