"I am replacing cylinder heads

"I am replacing cylinder heads on my 4.3 v-6 engine. Manual wants you to use quicksilver prefect sealer on head bolts, headgasket and intake gasket. This sealer is hard to find. Can I use something else or where can find some sealer?? Thanks for the help."

"Permatex "Aviation sealant" most good auto store will carry it.Use it liberally on all the head bolts to seal out coolant, Use NOTHING on the head gaskets, use the aviation sealant ONLY on the water jacket areas of the heads where the intake goes."permatex "Black Sealant" on the front and rear of the block surface,apply a good thick (1/4 inch bead)on the block surface, sit manifold down, start the 4 corner bolts, AND LET SIT OVERNIGHT,TIGHTEN DOWN/TORQUE THE NEXT DAY AFTER SEALANT CURES."
