Leaded gas in b91 engine

I've got a 1991 Ski Brende

I've got a 1991 Ski Brendella with a 351 by PCM. The label on the engine (I think it's on that little plastic cover over the breaker) says to use leaded gas. Does this seem wierd? Didn't leaded gas stop being available well before then?
