Remove and replace cylinder cover

i have a force 75 elpt serial

i have a force 75 elpt serial oe192718. 1996. i want to remove the cylinder head cover to inspect. doesnt seem to be a gasket. some type of sealer maybe? would someone be kind enough to walk me through the process.
