"OK guys here I come with the vernatherm question again. After searching the forums and the internet I only see the Hurrikain.com site with the items for $80. Can anyone id the housing in my pic? It is for the raw water cooling kit on my 351w. No idea who made it. Can I just get rid of this stuff or is it essential for operation. Never heard of a vernatherm before. I can see right thru it? Should there be some kind of disc in there or what.

Well here I go answering my own question again. This is part of the San Juan Cooling Kit for the Ford 351W. $700. Why are they still selling these if you cant get the vernatherm anymore? Vernatherm still works by the way. I suspect due to the amount of corrosion that the zinc pencil is long gone in the heat exchanger. I read someone saying drill three holes in a thermostat for a similar effect. Any suggestions on this thermostat modification?
