I have been trying to remove a MD1 gearbox from the engine housing. I have stripped gearbox until l am left with the shaft. I dont wish to take the bearing out unless l have to but l am stuck and cant understand how to progress.

Nothing holds gear case to eng

Nothing holds gear case to engine but the 4 bolts on sides. With them removed hitting case should allow gear to drop off crankshaft end.
