"does anyone know the correct procedure for timing a carbureted 2004 5.7L Indmar (GM Vortec) with electronic/breakerless ignition? Indmar's manual calls for using a "timing shunt", which is unknown to me. i'm very familiar with setting timing on older engines & comfortable with most anything short of a major overhaul.}}"
