2728 Replacing 2715

I have in my boat a 2715E who

I have in my boat a 2715E who needs replacement… Does any body know if the 2728 has the same block? Will it fit the existing gear and manifolds? I am aware of the difference in the hp output.

"different block, different manifold, adaptable to different gears and has the same mounting pattern as 120. Why would you put more HP in, burn more fuel? Rebuilt 2715E's are available and more reliable."
