"Man, this thing is really kicking my butt. I have a thunderbolt ignition, screw down distributor. Now I cant get the rotor off.. Any good tricks to get the old one off?? I am scared to pry up too hard, dont want to kill distributor shaft. Once I get this thing off, If i reinstall the new rotor the same place, I should have no timing issues right?

It is installed w/Loctite. Gr

It is installed w/Loctite. Grab it w/a channel lock pliers and pull and twist upward. Or just split it w/a chisel and hammer. There may be rust on the shaft along w/Loctite. Clean the shaft to make sure the new one fits onto the shaft completely.

You'll have to Bust it off the shaft if it's original..."
