My 94 5.8L has a fitting where the drain plug origonally goes (on vehicles) that the dipstick tube is connected to. On the side of the fitting there is a plug that looks like it could be taken out for use like a regular oil plug. Can I drain the oil this way or should I pump it out? What do you guys do/ recomend? Will I get all the oil out if I pump it out?

"Personally I pump, always have for the 6 I/O's I've had. Most people can't get to the fitting on the pan and even if they could it would most likely make a mess. Pumps work fine as long as you properly heat up the oil first so all the crap gets suspended in the oil and then pumped out. Not perfect but pretty close. There are many different pumps out there from basic manual to electric to something that attaches to a drill...your choice."
