"Tohatsu recently replaced my defective primer bulb under warranty. It appears that the new, much thicker and grey replacement gas line has the primer bulb on the short end closest to the gas tank rather than the motor. This presents a problem in that the motor fitting will not pass through the gas boot and the inconvenience of the location at the tank. Is there a reason for the difference in the primer bulb location? Should I rearrange the fitings as well as the primer bulb so that the bulb is between the motor and the transom? Thanks...
