1992 GM V8 Starting issue

Engine will not turn over-- ma

Engine will not turn over-- makes 1 click noise when key turned to start- I thought it was the solenoid by the circuit braker on the manifold Click noise coming from there?- but replaced and still makes 1 click when trying to start-- Battery is charged and good does not have a strain when turning key to start?

"Make sure the battery posts and all 4 cable ends are cleaned and tightened. WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED, clean and tighten the cable ends and posts on the starter and its solenoid.

Remove the spark plugs and check for water. See if the engine will crank w/o the plugs installed. If yes; reinstall the spark plugs and see if it will crank and start. If it is slow and/or won't crank, have the battery load tested. Replace if questionable.

If the trim pump works well and the engine still won't turn over then the starter should be rebuilt or replaced."
