I got my mercruiser 165 st

Hi
I got my mercruiser 165 straight six rebuilt and ready to go but I need a new tach. Are there any special requirements. What should I be looking for and where can I find a good one for a good price? How about one with an hour meter? Is that a possibility?

There are no special requirmen

There are no special requirments for ths tach other than the fact that it need to be compatable with a 6 cylinder engine. A stewart werrener is a good bet or on of the teleflex series. Any good marine store or even Ebay. For a plan tach expect to pay around a 100 bucks. For one with an hour meter around 200.
