Hi im kinda new to boating and

Hi im kinda new to boating and was just wondering why almost every winterising guid says to change oil why is this? not doubting anyone but i figured it would be better to change the oil in the spring

ok thanks a bunch i knew there had to be a reason just wasnt sure what. shame on me for not doing so this fall but wont happen again lol its an 84 cobia all original like new just has the imfumus 470 but runs sweet
